Each month we profile some of the biggest Jamie Johnson fans from around the globe. This fan could come to our attention in several different ways, for example, at a school Dan attends, a piece of writing he or she sends to Dan, or a fan-mail or letter that they have sent. Each month, a winner (or winners) is chosen, and they become a JJ Fan Of The Month! We like to have an interview with the winner as well.

This month, for the first time ever, there isn’t just one JJ Fan Of The Month. Now there are a whole family of them, in the Wright Family! The Wright Family are made up of Dean, Zak, Kai, Anya and Katherine, who came to our attention after Dan received a nice email from them.

Here is an interview with the 3 football fans of the family – Dean, the father, and Zak and Kai, the two sons!

What is your name?

Dean: Dean Wright

Zak: Zak Wright

Kai: Kai Wright

How old are you?

Dean: 47

Zak: 14

Kai: 10

What is your favourite Jamie Johnson book & why?

Dean: “The Kick Off,” because it’s the original book, that got us hooked.

Zak: “Skills from Brazil”. This book explores the home and origins of the greatest football skills in the world.

Kai: I like all the ones that I’ve read so far, and I also love the TV series.

Which football team do you support?

Dean: Inham Phoenix Under 15’s. Every Saturday & Sunday.

Zak: FC Barcelona

Kai: Man United

What is the best goal you have ever seen?

Dean: Zak Wright, Sandiacre Town under 10s. Think they were 5-0 down, then Zak scored a blistering left footed howitzer that had me jumping around in delight on the sidelines.

Zak: Ibrahimovic’s 35 yard overhead kick against England.

Kai: Wayne Rooney’s bicycle kick against Man City!

If you could be any JJ character for a day, who would it be?

Dean: Raymond Porlock, (from Man Of The Match) because I love his character & can do a great impression of him.

Zak: Jamie Johnson. We have a lot of similarities including been left footed.

Kai: I don’t know about which character, but I’d love to be able to do The Rainbow Flick. Zak’s really good at it, but I just can’t do it.

How do you think the three teams who got promoted (Newcastle, Brighton and Huddersfield) will fare this season?

Dean: I hope Huddersfield do well as they’re from Yorkshire.

Zak: I think Newcastle will do well. Good Manager, good core team. I think Brighton will struggle unless the squad gels really well. 50:50 for the moment. Lastly, I think Huddersfield will find it hardest of all the teams. They were very lucky to have won against Reading in the Play off finals.

Kai: I’m not really sure about any of these teams.

If JJ offered to teach you one football skill, which one would you want it to be?

Dean: To kick a ball on target!

Zak: The ‘A Magica.’ I’d love to use this in a match.

Kai: A Rainbow Flick.

If you could play for any football team, in the real or JJ World, who would it be?

Dean: Derby County. To give the kids I teach at City of Derby Academy, who support Derby something to talk & laugh about.

Zak: FC Barcelona. Greatest team in the World.

Kai: Man United.

If you wrote a JJ book yourself, what would you call it?

Dean: Foot Ball. Its what Leg Ends are made for!- Jamie Johnson- The Man, The Myth, The Legend.

Zak: Pressure to Play.

Kai: The Impossible Goal.

Dean: Raymond Porlock. (We’d be great mates.)

Zak: Jack Marshall… Purrrrrrrrr.

Kai: Boggy. (from Born to Play)

You are offered to go to three schools- The Grove, Kingfield or The Foxborough Academy School. Which one will you join?

Dean: The most challenging or school with the worst reputation. To teach that is. I like a challenge & like to keep my life interesting.

Zak: Kingfield.

Kai: Kingfield.

If you could ask JJ one question, what would it be?

Dean: Are you a Boxing fan?

Zak: What advice, or tips could you give me to help improve my game?

Kai: What do you think the future holds for you?
