He was still a big man. Still a huge man – in every sense.
Even though he was now 78, his 6 foot 3 inch frame demanded attention when he entered any room.
He was one of the country’s most celebrated writers, with a reputation that stretched the world. Which was all part of the problem…he knew his powers were on the wane…he knew that this book had to be as good as the rest…no it had to be better than the rest because it might well be his last.
But when he sat down at his desk nothing was coming, nothing was happening.
Blank.
Blank mind. Blank page.
