Last week, Dan took place in a video conference with schools in Redbridge, in which he discussed his journey from football fan to published author, the Jamie Johnson series, and his new book, Unstoppable.
He also gave the pupils a challenge – to come up with a football chant!
Gearies Primary School came up with the following…
If you would like to join in with the chant yourself, the words are below!
The famous Leon Tibbs was standing in the goal,
The famous Leon Tibbs was standing in the goal!
The famous Leon Tibbs was standing in the goal,
When up stepped Jamie Johnson!
Woah… Goal!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
And the dreams go marching on!
Kingsmount Academy were losing in the cup,
Kingsmount Academy were losing in the cup!
Kingsmount Academy were losing in the cup,
When up stepped Jamie Johnson!
Woah…. Goal!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
And the dreams go marching on!
Jamie, Jack and Boggy will be friends forevermore,
Jamie, Jack and Boggy will be friends forevermore!
Jamie, Jack and Boggy will be friends forevermore,
Their friendship will never end!
Woah…. Goal!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
Glory, glory Jamie Johnson!
And the dreams go marching on!
*JOHNSON!* *JOHNSON!* *JOHNSON!* *JOHNSON!*
Dan said that the initiative of the pupils almost moved him to tears and it was “a moment he’d never forget.”
Thank you very much to the pupils of Gearies Primary School!
