The time has come for a new TV series of Jamie Johnson! The second series of CBBC and ShortFormFilm’s adaption of Dan’s books is live once more. Each Wednesday from now until the end of June, a new episode of the Jamie Johnson story will be released at 5 o’clock, with a repeat later in the day.
Ten 30 minute episodes follow Jamie’s dream to become a professional footballer. The series includes some jaw-dropping cameos, loads of football action and will have you sitting right on the end of your seat! (or sofa!)
Louis Dunn reprises his role as JJ. Back at Kingsmount School, Jamie is desperate to confirm his place in the A Team and lead the team to glory in the Inter Schools Cup, but things are never straight forward.
Lenna Gunning-Williams makes her debut as Jack. Having secured her place between the sticks in the football team, she now wants to go one step further; is she as good outfield as she is in goal?
Intelligent, strategic Hugo ‘Boggy’ Bogson returns, portrayed by Jonnie Kimmins. With the pressure building for Jamie, and with the support of Jack, can he guide his friend through the battle?
Also returning are Patrick Ward as Dillon, Tim Dantay as Mike, Emma Stansfield as Karen Johnson and Theo Chapman and Brian Bovell as Harry and Mr Hansard, respectively.
Dan said: “It’s so exciting to see the second series being aired and I am thrilled to see that Jamie’s story, both on and off the pitch, is so popular. I’m very happy for everyone involved in the production and, clearly, the JJ movement is going from strength to strength.”
Keep following the series and keep following JJ!
